Starting Sept. 1, 2023, Verisign is increasing their fees for .com domains to all registrars. NameSilo just sent me that their renewal prices for .com are increasing from $11.95 to $13.95. So $0.50E to NameSilo gets bumped up to a $2.00 increase to their clients. Time to move my .coms to Porkbun at $9.73 per.

I recently renewed a domain with Namesilo last month, but to my dismay, I discovered yesterday that the expiration date on Namesilo's website was showing 2024. However, when I checked the registry's WHOIS, it indicated that the domain had actually expired in 2023 and entered the grace period over a month ago. I contacted Namesilo's customer service, and they misled me by attributing the issue to a delay (as if a delay of one whole month is reasonable!). In reality, it was due to a bug on Namesilo's website that caused the renewal to not sync with the registry. If I hadn't checked the WHOIS myself, I would have been completely unaware that my domain had already expired. To make matters worse, Namesilo failed to send me any expiration reminder emails.

This incident prompted me to immediately transfer all of my domains away from Namesilo. Over the past two years, I've experienced frequent website outages and encountered numerous bugs on Namesilo's platform. These issues have severely impacted my trust in their services. I cannot afford to have my domains compromised due to unreliable systems and poor communication from the company. I hope Namesilo addresses these persistent problems to ensure a more reliable and user-friendly experience for their customers.

Been using them for a few years and gradually transferred all my domains from name.com and namecheap. The renewal prices are lower than my old registrar and their UI is good for bulk management.

NameSilo has great support and good prices. But unfortunately they increased their prices recently for some top level domains. I recommend using them but they are not as cheap as they used to be.

JJust received an email that Verisign increased cost of .net domains so effective Feb 2024, they're increasing prices as wel;. However, in doing the research, verising increased the wholesale price by 99 cents, but namesilo's increase is $4.15 (from $11.79 to $15.95!) Guess I will be looking to move my domains.

Not my number one, but pretty good. Cheapest registrar that i found for the premium new gTLD (names with higher renewal rate than usual). Fastest e-mail support ever, sometimes 1-2 minutes after sending the email to them, and very good answers rarely the replies excedeed 1 because they usually give you the solution from the first email. Can be frustrating because they do not offer phone or chat support but as long as you understand that e-mail support is really fast you will get used to it. And, remember, their website is done very well and FAQs complete, if you just try to find the answer you probably will not need support at all.

I've registered all but one of my domains with NameSilo, it's a basic interface but it gets the job done quickly and easily, managing all of my domains from one screen with quick actions. Extremely satisfied

Bought a domain from them because they're the cheapest registrar to have free and non-confusing WHOIS privacy on .de domains. Plus they have a shit ton of payment methods (even Razer Gold lmao), great prices on other domains (such as .ws and .ac), one of, if not THE best referral system out of all registrars, etc. etc. Only giving it 4 stars tho, because only a few of their domain prices are competitive.

I have been well informed during the whole transfer process. For example, it is an important detail that the bot says that the retry time is once every 5 minutes.

Very fast respond time on text chat consumer services and the customer support staff is highly capable.

Another very important advantage is that they support DNSSEC.

First, they now have chat support which was very quick and helpful. I had a great experience there. Nice!

Pros: low costs, free privacy, very good tools, free email forwards for every domain. Strong customer service too.

Cons: web UI has old look 'n feel, but it is very good and gets the job done. Best for searching new gTLDs that I've seen.

I have not used them for hosting, just domain registration - and I think they are the best at that. I am migrating all my domains from other registrars here.

6 domains since March '17 no issues to report. Great value.

I have been using namesilo for over 5 years and I could not be happier with them. It is simple straightforward no BS excellent pricing without gimmicks and they don't jam a bunch of upsells down your throat either. On top of that, things lake who is protection that most of the other one is charged for its comes free with the already cheaper domain name registration and renewal prices. There's literally nothing to complain about here

I have several domains with NameSilo, the interface is rather bad but everything you could possibly ever seen is easily found. Their support is alright too. I would definitely recommend.
